Description
It is most unusual to find a copy of this brilliant album, certainly in this condition. This is a first press Mono version of "Fleetwood Mac" by Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac released on the Blue Horizon label (7-63200) in 1968. The matrix numbers are A1 and B1.
The disc is in excellent condition with a high gloss finish (please look at the photographs to get a better idea) and has no scratches at all. It does have a paper scuff mark across the first two tracks on side one but this is not noticeable on audio (I've just checked again, for peace of mind). The Inner sleeve is the original patent application version and has the wording Fleetwood Mac written in the top left hand corner, otherwise it's as good as new for an album over 40 years old.
The outer, front laminated sleeve by E. J. Day is in excellent condition with no wear to the edges or spine.
The album has been owned, by me, from new and kept upright in custom built shelving away from light, damp and dust. As far as my memory goes, it has not been played in the last 35 years, until I checked it just a while ago.
This is a seriously collectibile item, especially to anyone with an interest in the Blues. The bassy, Mono sound jumps out of the speakers. I actually can't believe I'm selling it, in fact if you don't bid, I've got a great excuse for keeping it.
