Description
Up for auction is the hard to find original mono US pressing of the British Invasion classic "Over Under Sideways Down" by The Yardbirds released in 1966 on Epic Records #LN24210. The original yellow label record is STILL SEALED within the inside plastic baggie with perforation intact. There is a slight smell to the record which is already starting to go away now that it was removed from its storage. The jacket has a gold promo sticker on the cover and a small hole punch in the top right corner. There are no splits and some light soiling but rates an excellent overall. Don't miss this one!!!! Low starting bid and no reserve! Will be shipped in sturdy record mailer. Please see my other auctions for more rare records.
Roger the Engineer (UK title: Yardbirds, but commonly referred to as "Roger the Engineer". US, German and French title: Over Under Sideways Down) is an album by English blues rock band The Yardbirds, released in 1966. It was produced by bassist Paul Samwell-Smith and Simon Napier-Bell. It was the only Yardbirds album with all original material. Although the record was officially titledYardbirds (and still is in authoritative chart sources, such as The Guinness Book of British Hit Albums), it has since been referred to, first colloquially, then semi-officially, as Roger the Engineer, a title stemming from the cover drawing of the record's audio engineer Roger Cameron by band member Chris Dreja.
In 2012, the album was ranked #349 on Rolling Stone's list of the 500 greatest albums of all time.
