A true rarity up for grabs and a must for all Motown / Soul Lovers. Recorded between 1969 and 1971 following David Ruffin's departure from the Temptations the album 'David' was due to be David Ruffin's first solo album following his departure from the group but amazingly the 12 tracks from the album were shelved and the album hid away in Motown's vaults until it was rescued in 2004 and given a limited edition release of just 3500 individually numbered releases through Hip-o Select and Motown.

'David' is David Ruffin at his very best, the man was at the peak of his powers and it really was a startling decision to shelve the album. tracks like 'I've Got A Need For You', 'I Want You Back', 'You Can Come Right Back To Me' and the haunting 'Each Day Is A Lifetime' prove just what a star Mr Ruffin was, this album is a testament to the man's talent and the only shame is it took till 2004 before it saw the light of day.

This release became instantly collectable and the album sold out in a matter of day's and it's with a heavy heart that I let my own personal copy go, despite some heavy play it's still in good condition, the CD has a few light scratches that don't affect play and the album cover itsself is in good condition with only the slightest of bends with no rips or tears whilst the in-lay sleeve is in perfect condition.

This really is a find and I can guarantee not many of these collectors item's will come this year.
