Great Northern Soul 45 from 1966 "I'm Gonna Do It By Myself" b/w "Go Head On" by Jimmy "Preacher" Ellie (aka Jimmie Ellis). Note the misspell on the labels of the last name (Ellie not Ellis). A-side is outstanding funky R&B/Soul dance groover with strong lead vocals,fine sax break,stops,kicks. B-side is outstanding funky R&B/Soul dance groover as well with strong lead vocals,fine stops,another great sax break,nice crunchy guitar. Hard to find,Low opening bid,No Reserve! Original U.S. record. VG++/Near Mint copy, looks unplayed (except for the one time I played it). Has 9/66 and a small red x on the other side. Comes with original Ronn/Jewel Records factory sleeve. Shipping for this record is $2 in the U.S., $5 worldwide. I'll be listing quite a few Northern Soul rarities in the near future, as I recently purchased a large collection of radio station records that are all from the 60's and in beautiful condition.
