This auction is for the rare "Lonely Lover" promo by Jimmy McFarland on RPR Records. Here the Motown hit writers "Holland, Dozier, & Holland" hand off a beautiful song to the very capable Jimmy McFarland who delivers with a classic Northern Soul performance. This is not a reissue and you will not find a copy in better condition.
This record has been examined for imperfections under a bright light source. I have also added both sides to the embedded auction player, so that you may sample the sound quality first hand. There are no drill holes present here and thank goodness no ugly radio station identification letters scrawled across the center label. The overall grade (visual grade plus audio grade) of this record is VG+++ to Mint Minus.
Why not Mint? Because under close scrutiny there are two or three little super-light marks on the both sides that are likely the result of the paper sleeve having rubbed a little on the record when it was either removed or replaced into the sleeve. Like I said in my other listings, treat this as an investment grade piece. If you win this record and find that you are dissatisfied with my grading of it, you may return it to me for a full refund.
