Description
Rare original 1969 early pressing of The Stooges, Elektra Records EKS-74051, US release with red Elektra label. Black picture sleeve with pictures of Elektra’s new East Coast company headquarters. Self-titled first album by The Stooges, seminal 1967-1974 Detroit proto-punk band with Iggy Stooge (Iggy Pop).
Label: Red label with a big E, and “Stereo” on the left. Stooges’ name does not appear above tracks. Label identifiers: EKS-74051-A (Side One); EKS-74051-B (Side Two). Small print on label below the title tracks: “All selections by The Stooges. Copyright © Paradox Music BMI. Produced by JOHN CALE.” Printed across label bottom: “Elektra Records 1855 Broadway New York City 10023”.

CONDITION/GRADING: Not professionally graded. I have graded to the best of my ability using Goldmine guidelines. Grading is done by listening to LP and visually inspecting LP & cover. View photos.
LP: Very Good (VG+). Sound is clear with no skips or clicks. Very minimal hiss on Side One that does not affect listening experience. Barely audible surface noise on Side Two. Just a few light scratches on Side One; some light scratches and a few light scuffs on Side Two. No spindle wear.
Cover/Sleeve: Very Good (VG). COVER: Bright cover with good gloss. Light ring wear along top half of cover. Some creases by spine front and back. 3-3/4” paper separation of bottom back seam. No seam splits. Some paper scuff/fray at bottom corner. SLEEVE: Original paper sleeve is clean and bright. Spots of paper bump/warp/dent front and back, and a 3-3/4” split along bottom seam.
Shipping Note: I have cleaned the LP with Groovy Cleaner brand cleaner for vinyl records to remove dust and dirt. It will be shipped with a protective polyethylene album sleeve, in a sturdy cardboard LP mailer with protective inserts, for safe shipping.

INTERNATIONAL BUYERS PLEASE NOTE: Contact me for a shipping quote before bidding/paying because due to some lost International shipments I now ship all international sales by Priority International shipping, so that all packages can be tracked. Whenever possible international shipments will be sent Flat Rate Priority to save on shipping charges. If you request economy First Class International for small packages please be aware that delivery time for 1st Class International shipments can vary from 3-4 days to up to up to 4-5 weeks, and that First Class International packages cannot be tracked if a package is late or lost. Due to size some items cannot be sent First Class International.
