Soho Music are proud to present this extremely rare, original 1977 gig flyer promoting the upcoming gigs throughout May for promoter Barry Clarke's 'Words' gigs at City Hall, St Albans and Queensway Civic Hall, Dunstable. The most eye-catching of the gigs was The Clash on the White Riot Tour on Saturday 21st May, with support from The Jam, Buzzcocks and Slits - an unbelievable lineup! Also featured is Ian Gillan Band (of Deep Purple) with support from Strapps on 8th May. Kursall Flyers with support from Tanya Hyde and The Tormentors was originally billed on Monday 9th May, this was changed to Saturday 14th May - the original date was simply crossed out with marker pen and the new one written in biro. Widowmaker and Quartz were originally billed on Saturday 14th but was subsequently cancelled, again simply being crossed out by marker pen! Saturday May 28th saw Burlesque and Smiler on the bill. And along the bottom is Sidewinder plus Minotaur and Warhead on 30th April. There's a horizontal crease to back of the flyer but otherwise in EXC condition. Printed on thin blue paper, this measures 11.75" x 8.25" approximately.
