Description
This is a beautifully cared for copy of Alison Krauss’s “Too Late to Cry”, her first solo album on Rounder Records. Album plays both sides with no skips, with occasional crackles one would expect from a 1987 vinyl recording. The cardboard cover has original shrink wrap with no tears, only a slit where record was opened. Alison, a teenager at the time of this recording, is said to have negotiated her own recording deal with Rounder Records producer Ken Erwin. She dedicates this project to “the staff of Columbia Middle School, Champaign, Illinois.” Guest musicians include Sam Bush, Russ Barrenburg, the late Roy Huskey, Jerry Douglas, Tony Trischka, John Cowan, and the late Dave Denman.
I believe this to be an original first pressing, though I am not an authority. Vinyl inscription side A has “46101-A1 ROU-0235-A”. Side B has “46101#1 ROU-0235-B”.
While inexperienced at selling vinyl records, I have tried to accurately represent the condition based in Discogs grading scale. Please ask any questions before bidding and I will do my best to answer. Also, take a minute to view other rare bluegrass LPs I am selling. Thanks for looking!
