I have several rare 78's I will be listing,up for auction Memphis Jug Band blues original 78 record,Victor label,I can tell you I played this record on my silvertone player and it was as if I was in the juke house,songs are,"K.C. Moan,Memphis YO YO Blues,,there's some fading on the label,this a grade of my records,I'm not an expert but this record played with no skips,I have not cleaned record except with a damp cloth,I will leave cleaning to buyer,even without a good cleaning record still play good.
M-Mint-perfect
NM-Near mint-almost perfect
VG+-good,has surface noise,but will play
VG-used,a reasonable copy,has signs of wear and surface noise but will play
G+-Good-some wear,marks,surface noise but with a good needle will play without skipping
This record would be graded G+,there's not many good good original blues on 78 of some of the great blues singer in their raw singing.Email with questions,any errors are not intentional.
On Nov-12-06 at 20:59:13 PST, seller added the following information: Just some added information,Will Shade(AKA:Son Brimmer,born Feb, 5,1889,Memphis Tennessee started the Memphis Jug Band,The band became very popular playing on Beale Street,Church Park,In Feb. 1927,The Memphis Jug Band first recorded for the RCA label,this band recorded 57 sides over the next four years.By 1930 no less than seven different bands were active in Memphis,The Memphis Jug Band was so popular that they often had to split into two different groups to proform gigs on the same night,1927-1934,The Memphis Jug Band recorded ove 100 songs,included in this band was,Furry Lewis,Casy Bill Weldon and Will Shade.I've received some emails concerning condition of records,records need cleaning,they are from the 1920's-30's,not mint,but as graded,will play even dirty with no skipping,I try very hard to be honest about all my items.price rating
