Description
This is a one of a kind, one sided 78 RPM test pressing featuring the songs "When Pepsi Sings To Me" and "Make It Pepsi Cola For Two" from unknown artists (the first is by a man, the second from a female singing group), although famed lyricist Irving Caesar is credited on the typed label. This test pressing (and the other Pepsi related 78 I am also offering up this week) were recently unearthed from the collection of an old Pepsi employee that lived locally. These two tracks more closely resemble advertising styled songs, as if maybe they would be placed in a radio program of some sort. The record grades about VG, as it shows surface and paper marks/small scratches. The beginning of "When Pepsi Sings To Me" is rather distorted for a bit, as there maybe a flaw in the record that i can't see. It eventually clears up to being solid, with some background crackle (which is commonplace for 78's of this vintage). No date is listed anywhere - the label is pretty heavily stained - but it is probably from the 1930's I would guess. A must have for any collectors of Pepsi related memorabilia out there! Buyer pays $12.50 priority or $4.00 media shipping in the US, $22.50 airmail overseas - this one is going to be packed very well. Thanks for looking and good luck!
