Description
**IT IS SIGNED BY BERNARD STOLLMAN, THE FOUNDER OF ESP
RECORDS!**. (see last pic closeup and his brief bio below)
As you can see, the labels on the record are white test press labels. I also
found 2 other labels : one for "side one" and the other for "side 2". They were
loose inside the cover and neither label states any song titles. (please see all
closeup pics)
The Original long lyrical insert is also included.
Note: The back cover is clearly signed. "With Kind Regards, Bernard
Stollman"
Bernard Stollman, was founder of one the most independent record labels, ESP-Disk, which provided an indispensable chronicle of the free jazz and psych rock and folk rock of the 1960s, and helped forward the course of the "counterculture."
Mr. Stollman operated as a tenacious outsider to the music business — one thing he had in common with the artists he recorded.
Some of the label’s releases are regarded as avant-garde classics, including “Spiritual Unity,” by the tenor saxophonist Albert Ayler; “The Heliocentric Worlds of Sun Ra,” in two volumes; and the self-titled debut album by the New York Art Quartet.
Among the many other uncompromising musicians who recorded for ESP-Disk were the saxophonists Pharoah Sanders, Frank Wright, Giuseppi Logan and Marion Brown; the outstanding psych folk rock Pearls Before Swine, and the singer Patty Waters; the pianists Paul Bley, Ran Blake and Burton Greene; and the drummers Sunny Murray and Milford Graves.
