Here we have the great French Bass Pol Plancon on a nice rare Victor “Monarch” single-sided record made in January 1904 (Thank You Robert Johannesson). He is performing Pro Peccatis: Stabat Mater (Rossini). The disc number is 81033.
It has the Victor Red Label $2 price marker on the back, and the whole thing is "as clean as a maid from guile and fleshy sin", and if it was any more shiny, a magpie would steal it.
There are one or two tiny almost invisible mini-marks, from grit-in-the-sleeve.
It plays beautifully.
Using the “Record Collector” magazine’s yardstick, we’d rate it as a good solid VG++ and the other confusing system would rate it as an E.
