RARE ORIGINAL 1st PRESSING RCA LIVING STEREO SB-2058 (LSC-2313), RELEASE 1960
STUNNING SOUND, AWFUL DYNAMICS!
SOLTI - ROYAL OPERA HOUSE ORCHESTRA COVENT GARDEN (ROHCG) - DIVERSE OVERTURES, PRELUDES (VERDI, ROSSINI ETC) / "VENICE"
Record plays fine on both sides with very low less surface noise.
Side 1 graded EX+, side 2 graded NM-, overall splendid SB copy!
Nice cover with gatefold booklet, good condition, some pater gone in one spot on front cover, overall good collector's condition. Orginal inner sleeve (Decca).
I listen to the record before grading, both sides, no spot listening, both sides are judged for audio quality, flaws et al. All records cleaned 2-3 times (Kuzma washing machine) before listening starts, Nagaoka or MFSL rice paper sleeves for all records when put back into cover. Playback gear: Garrard 401, Ortofon AS-212 tonearm, Shure V15-III cartridge.
Record noise could get lower when more washing is done.
No return, private sale. But bid with confidence, my grading is conservative. Above all, no nonsense MINT gradings applied to records which are 50+ years old.
