Description
I bought this single from Sun Ra in 1980 at the week long series of holiday concerts at the Detroit Jazz Center. At the time I only had a 33 RPM turntable so I just put it away, I had also purchased well over a dozen LP's so I had plenty to listen to. I forgot all about it until I recently found it on my bookshelf and I have left it unplayed. El Saturns were purchased new in near mint /near mint minus condition, if you looked very closely there was always a small nick or mark somewhere, I would visually grade this record accordingly as well. The matrix number says DISCO 2100/A on one side and DISCO 2100/B on the other side. The discographies I've seen list a single with a matrix number SATURN 2100A/B with the songs Disco 3000 and Sky Blue. I'm assuming this is the same record and I'm also assuming this music is from the 1978 Italian Quartet Tour although the discographies list this as Sun Ra and the Arkestra. As with any El Saturn record though the proof is in the listening and I haven't listened to it! This has a plain white label on one side and a plain yellow label on the other side and is in the original plain white sleeve. Shipping includes insurance, shipped with 2 box stiffeners. I don't think you're going to find another unplayed Sun Ra 45 at this point in time, Good Luck Bidding!
