Description
EXTREMELY RARE SOUTH AFRICAN PRESSING FROM THE ORIGINAL MASTER RECORDING HELD BY RCA
ELVIS PRESLEY WITH THE JORDANAIRES - 'Are You Lonesome To-night / I Gotta Know'.
**** NOTE : Interesting spelling of 'TO-NIGHT' in the title instead of 'TONIGHT' ****
This recording was not pressed on a 78 RPM record in the USA or the UK and is unique to South Africa
A TRUE COLLECTORS ITEM
There is no date on the label but this was recorded on 4 April 1960.
There are a number of light scratches and marks on either side, as is often the case with a well played Shellac 10", but it plays through with no sticking, skipping or popping at all - only the characteristic sound of needle on Shellac. There are no stickers and no writing on the label. It is housed in it's original RCA paper sleeve. (See photo's - particularly the ones taken with flash to see the markings).
Online research will reveal that this pressing is extremely hard to come by and would be an amazing addition for any serious Elvis collector. I have not listed a 'Buy It Now' price so am taking a risk here ... what is it worth to you?
