This is an auction for a vinyl test pressing of the Sam Williams 45 RPM single “Love Slipped Through my Fingers” backed with “Baby Let’s Talk it Over.” This work is perhaps one of the most beloved Northern Soul pieces. Over the years, it has turned up on more than one compilation. Here is an opportunity to own a record collection defining piece: a test pressing of it dated June 2nd, 1967. Every collector has a handful of records that he or she is proud of…the addition of this record would be a gem in even the most prestigious collection. The record itself is beautiful pressed on heavy high quality audiophile grade vinyl. The “Let’s Talk it Over” side has 3 minor surface imperfections which do not affect the play. The sound is warm, rich, and full. If you close your eyes and listen with headphones on, it is not a stretch to imagine being in the studio the day on which this record was cut. I want to do everything to ensure you win this record. I am a collector just like you. I have won auctions thanks to eSnipe and lost auctions too.
