Description
Offered here is a rare Decca 78 of the great but not well known violinist Ossy Renardy playing Paganini's "Witches Dance" ("Le Streghe"), with piano accompaniment, catalogue no. K2355. Renardy was an incredibly gifted violinist - technically he was absolutely top-drawer; he died in an accident in 1953 (aged only 33), otherwise he would be much better known today. If you haven't heard him I urge you to try this disc (or any of his recordings) as he's truly stunning!
Disc in pretty much mint condition, no wear or scratches or any visible marks, plays superbly.
(Disc was auditioned on a Garrard 401 Transcription deck, with SME 3009 Series II tone-arm, Shure cartridge and Expert Stylus 0.0028" diamond tip, through a Quad pre-amp and Genelec active monitors - if a disc has problems playing, they'll show up through this system!).
Supplied in stiff card outer sleeve.
Being sold as part of an ongoing clear-out - my loss is your gain!
Sold with NO RESERVE and a sensible starting bid - Good Luck!
