1ST PRESS MATRIX IN DEADWAX:Deadwax reads: Side One “N-3001-A” Side Two: “N-3001-B”
This is the Original 1st US pressing released on End Records in October, 1958. 1st edition with the “Southern Plantation” cover. This cover was quickly withdrawn and repackaged with a totally different cover showing two teenagers around a jukebox and the album was retitled "The Chantels"
COVER CONDITION:
EXCELLENT (hard to find this nice!)
No seam splits, no ring wear, no writing, light perimeter age discoloration, tiny markings bottom left hand corner back cover, and one clear taped spine split

VINYL CONDITION: VERY GOOD
Original thick inflexible vinyl. Nice gloss. Lots of hairline scratches.
LABELS: EXC to NM-
No writing, no stains, no owner labels. Some light spidering towards the spindle hole on closer inspection.
PLAY TESTED:
Strong vocals. Record plays with surface noise.
