Description
ARTIST: V/A Les Maxels and Typical Combo
TITLE: Ce Soir Grand Bal de L'A.J's
LABEL: Disques Debs
CONDITION (COVER/RECORD): VG+/VG (Digital glitch in sound sample not on record)
Description:
An obscure one: LP celebrating the club A.J in Martinique with one side each from Les Maxel's and Typical Combo. Not the usual lighter biguine - here the bands run through some heavy Latin covers with raw solos and heavy percussion. Includes great versions of Richie Ray's "Guaguanco in Jazz" and Willie Colon's "Ghana'e", plus a heavy dancefloor Cadence track. First copy we've seen in several years great for the club!
Listen to excerpts from three tracks here - please note there are a couple of digital glitches on the recording that are not on the record.
We are listing various rare Caribbean and West Indies tropical sounds this week including records on Debs, Celini, Hit Parade and other labels from Guadeloupe, Martinique and Haiti. please check our other auctions and save on shipping.
