Description

This is a rare, EARLY autograph of legendary jazz singer Anita O'Day on her original Verve album, "Anita'. Finding a later Anita O'Day signature on an earlier record is not uncommon -- finding an early record of O'Day's with her early autograph on it is nearly impossible. Signed by Anita back in the day in vintage ballpoint pen. Her inscription is enthusiastic, an artist just tasting the first success her solo fame. The album was produced by Buddy Bregman, who said musically she was a genius. She had her biggest hit ever on this album - her and Bregman's version of "Honeysuckle Rose" (side 1). The original Verve LP is inside the cover, it has a few scratches but is in very good shape. Please click on the scans to get a nice closeup view. Payment by Paypal.
