Description
This auction is for one of the rarest Jim Reeves records that I personally have ever seen. Actually, it may be the rarest comercially recorded record I have seen of any artist. This record is THE original acetate for Jim's Macy record, Chicken Hearted and I've Never Been So Blue. This record was Jim's personal copy and it was cut as Jim recorded the songs. I do not have the acetate for Jim's other Macy record. The record has 3 holes under the label and one center hole. There is no matrix number in the dead wax. The label reads, "ACA Where Quality Speaks-Audio Company of America-A Full Range Recording-612 Westheimer-Houston, Texas." Song titles are hand written in white ink below, and the recording time under that in pen.The acetate has some light surface scratching, but overall it is in great condition for it's age. Label on Chicken Hearted side of the record needs reglued at the top. Recording time penned in for Chicken Hearted is 2 minutes and the other side is 2 min 50 seconds. I can say without a doubt that this is a RARE, one of a kind recording, not previously even known to still exist. This record will be triple boxed and shipped by insured UPS with a tracking number.
