Rationals - Look What You're Doin' (To Me Baby) / Gave My Love 7" (A-Square Records, catalog # A2-101, 1966)
First record on Detroit's great A2 record label (also home of MC5, SRC, Thyme and the Apostles). I think this is techinically the 2nd record by the Rationals, as the one on Danby's preceeds it. What's special about this copy, besides the great condition, is a fully vintage signed innersleeve. From top to bottom, left to right you see Scott [Morgan], Steve [Correl], Terry [Trabandt] and Bill Figg (the only one to sign his last name). This item was once owned by Jeep Holland, A2 label head and producer, so I'll assume the signatures are real. Please see my other auctions for another rare Rationals single and some other 60s garage rock.
Condition: Vinyl is NM-. B-side label has some minor bubbling, which seems to be common on these blue label variations. Signed sleeve shows typical storage wear, so I'll call it VG+. There are no seam splits and I will keep it that way by shipping the record in a separate innersleeve. Please note: I use Goldmine standard grading, which has no EX grade.
