Description
Hello there and welcome to my auction. Please read my descriptions carefully before you bid. Please make sure you read everything especially the condition of each vinyl. The grading and criteria are below.
This is an auction for: Ray Charles – The Genius Hits The Road – Original Vinyl LP album from 1960.
Orange His Master’s Voice label.
UK Pressing
Garrod & Lofthouse sleeve – Patents Pending
Matrix numbers: Side 1 – ABC 335A-1S
Side 2 – ABC 335B-1S
Vinyl Condition: VG (Some light sleeve rash marks and light lines and hairlines but is in very nice condition for its age and has clearly been cared for. There is a surface scuff mark across the last two tracks on side 1 but is nothing major and just causes a few intermittent clicks. No sticks or jumps. Overall the record has retained a nice clean shine and is in very good condition for its age. This is certainly one of the best I have seen and is a pleasure to listen to).
Inner Sleeve Condition: VG (Plain white polylined inner is a replacement).
Outer Sleeve Condition: EX (Front laminated flip-back sleeve is in superb condition. There is a bit of very slight wear to the bottom corner but apart from that it is simply superb and is free of any writing. There are a few very slight yellow marks to the back but I am being picky now. Overall the sleeve is clean and pretty much looks like its just come from a record shop back in 1960. I have never seen better).
I grade my vinyl’s as follows:
M = Mint: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Unplayed and sealed records are referred to as Mint.
Ex = Excellent: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is no lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have minimal wear and/or creasing.
VG = Very Good: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch.
Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects.
G = Good: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
Fair = The record shows signs of extensive play and may have many marks and deep scratches but will still play ok but with significantly lower sound quality. Artwork will be rather worn with possible splits, small rips, scrapes, dents, or maybe water damage.
If you would like further information on sleeve or record condition then please email me and I will get back to you as soon as I can.
Please note: Due to the large amount of CD’s and records that I am selling, I don’t have time to include the track listings. If the track listing is important to you then please email me and I will send you the track list.
PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR POSTAGE ADDRESS IS UP TO DATE AND CORRECT BEFORE BIDDING.
Cheers and happy bidding.
