Description

THE highly sought after 78 RPM recording used at the end of THE SHINING featuring crooner Al Bowlly. With Halloween coming, a great conversation piece to have! Grading the side that matters visually, it looks great! Some scuffs/dings you expect to find from a good record this old, but the vinyl looks really a cut above average. Not mint--but darn nice!!  I don’t know how to give it a professional grading; I can only say it’s very nice! (I took the photo outside in the noon sun to maximize seeing whatever flaws there are in a photo, and as you can see, the 78 is quite respectable looking. If I'd taken the photo in shadow or indoors, it would probably look mint.)  I played it twice years ago when I got it and it sounded great with no skips on the player _I_ played it on. Then I locked it away as a treasure. You would be VERY VERY hard pressed to find a better one than this. As for the other side of the record, it actually has more wear than the important side for some reason--I guess an old owner liked that song better, LOL.   But the side that counts, fortunately, is really nice and is as good as I ever have expected to get, which was why I bit the bullet and purchased it for top dollar some 10 years ago when I had a chance to buy it. Sold AS IS, NO RETURNS. Shipping to Canada ok but I would have to figure it out after the auction. Shipping includes insurance and signature confirmation
