Description

The Re-Vells – ‘I Want A New Love’ / ‘Do I Love You?’ – Trent Town TT 1004X/1005X (US)

No introduction necessary, simply one of the most soulful records in the universe, certainly out of New Jersey, ever. The topside, the glorious ‘I Want A New Love’, has the edge, of course, but the little heard flip, ‘Do I Love You?’, is not to be sniffed at either. As far as I know, this Trenton, NJ label’s only other releases were by The Excaliburs, whose ‘Peace On Earth (Goodwill To All Mankind)’ and ‘Christmas Dreaming’ seem to have been released in one or two different variations.

Condition: Excellent or close to it. Visually, there are some scuffs and inaudible marks, but listening to the record, I find it hard to fault. It probably plays about as good as it did when it was hot off the presses, essentially as good as these small independent label pressings will allow (please listen to the clips). Labels have the “DJ copy” information blacked out on both sides (this may, in fact, be removable, as it appears to be in some kind of water based ink) and a tick in black marker pen on the ‘I Want A New Love’ side (please see scans).

Please send payment via Paypal within five days. While there’s a lot to be said for regular post, swift and above all inconspicuous – I use it all the time – I will not be held responsible for uninsured parcels.

Shipping this single to any address in Europe is $8.00; to all other addresses worldwide $10.00. Registered and insured shipping (with a tracking number) covering the full value of this 45 is an additional USD $16.00.

Shipping from Sweden is quite expensive – though the rest of the world is surely catching up – not least due to the fact that the weight increments are few and far apart, but it’s usually swift and safe.

American bidders, kindly note that shipping to the US is not US $4.00, this is eBay’s default setting and not applicable as I am based in Sweden. Please wait for my invoice. Thank you!

Thanks for looking and good luck!
