Red Garland Revisited!
1970's Prestige Record Art Taylor Kenny Burrell Paul Chambers Vintage Vinyl LP Prestige P-7658This is a performance board of Red Garland, who was extremely popular as a pianist of the Miles Davis Quintet in the 50's. In addition to Paul Chambers (b), a virtuoso colleague of the Miles Quintet, and Art Taylor (ds), who is particularly sought after in this era, Kenny Burrell (g) participates in two songs. The influence of Miles or Miles' repertoire such as Four, Walkin' is taken up. The album's only Garland original, Hey Now, is a powerful swinging blues track. In other ballads, etc., you can hear the touch of a gem like Garland.
