Description
Bennie Moten & His Kansas City Orchestra play "Prince Of Wales" on
78rpm buff label Bluebird 6851. William Basie is featured on piano.
This side was recorded in Camden New Jersey on December 13, 1932.
On the reverse side Moten's group plays another hot one entitled
"Sweetheart Of Yesterday." The label states that James Rushing
sings the vocal refrain, but there is no vocal at all, and Jimmy isn't
even present.
This side was recorded earlier in Chicago on October 24, 1929.
Two great sides by this outstanding Orchestra, and in excellent-plus
(E+) condition.
