Reel To Reel Tapes
QUADRAPHONIC
Very Rare two volume set of the 1970 VANGUARD issue of MAHLER - SYMPHONY No. 9
Initially called "Surround Sound" and "Quadrasonic" by Vanguard
Each Reel is in it's own box, vol 1 & vol 2. I will not split this set up as they need to be kept together and will be sold as a single lot to the highest bidder at No Reserve.

Some have said "The early Vanguard tapes, VSS-1 through VSS-12 are what quadraphonic sound was supposed to ahve become in the early 70s. They are landmark achievements in analogue recording technology."
Please see various photos included of the complete Surround Sound, Quadrasonic brochure in both tape boxes.
The boxes are in good to very good condition with some normal shelf wear.
The reels are in excellent condition, appear to have been minimally played.
