Description

It's always a problem grading these lovely old SKA records.

They went to lots of parties.

That means that they're a bit battered and that's why many have names written on the label.

HOWEVER... they're usually cut VERY LOUD and though they look a bit rough, they sound OK (especially if you press the "Mono" button).

This means that a 60's Ska goodie can be perfectly acceptable, even if it looks R.A.A.B.B. (Rough As A Bear's Bottom)..

Please bear that in mind when reading my descriptions.

Here we have a superb Reggae cover version from 1968.

It’s The Techniques with their astonishing version of The Temptations’ “I Wish It Would Rain” with “There Comes A Time” on the “B” side.

It’s a Duke Reid production on UK Duke DU1A/B (the first UK Duke single?)

It plays well OK.

Like wot I writ in the red letters up above, it is a bit on the scruffy side, with some marks and scroffles, and has probably been stored in a box with a lot of other sleeveless records.

It’s cut so LOUD that this doesn’t matter a hill o’ beans.

It looks like a VG but it plays like a VG+ or better.

It will fill the floor at any skinhead’s hog-roast, nudist leap-frog party, or special-brew-fuelled-knees-up.

Mr Fuffy, my one-eyed shipping clerk (see photo) thinks that it is jolly good.

I rest my case... buy it now.

If you buy more than one item from me you might get a massive postage discount.

I am not a dealer.

I am just a very old bloke thinning out his lifetime collection of STUFF before the floor collapses (or I do).

I'm selling most of this stuff for much less

than I paid for it.

What a great business plan (I don't think)!

I am certainly NOT INTERESTED IN PROFIT..

..and indeed, seldom make any!

What little profit I do make goes to help

a very splendid Wildlife Rescue Charity.

The item in the photograph is the item you will get.

I have described everything to the best of my ability, and it looks in lovely condition to me.

Please check the photographs to decide for yourself.

NO OVERSEAS bidders please.

And NO OVERSEAS bidders using UK addresses please.

I am a simple sort, and I want my buyers to be happy. If there is any kind of problem, I like to sort it out personally. I can’t do this if you’re thousands of miles away!
