Yellow & Black Parlophone Label
This is a nice original copy of Revover, released in 1966, with front laminated Garrod & Lofthouse flip-back sleeve, with matt back and the small Mono logo. It is structurally sound, with a little creasing to the front, some spine creases, but still strong and sharp. It has sellotape to two of the flip-backs, on the reverse, but otherwise, wholly presentable and not a bad sleeve. This carries the uncorrected Dr. Robert on the sleeve credits, but has the correction (John Lennon's insistance!) of Doctor Robert on the label.
The vinyl is in really nice, original condition and still has that super-heavy EMI 60s feel, with a nice dark lustre. It has some light surface marks, some spindle wear, but nothing serious at all, with nice clean labels. Difficult to grade, but Excellent Minus should fit the bill, as it plays really nicely, too.
It is an immediate Second Press, after Re-Mix 11, this being Re-Mix 9, altered due to John Lennon's dislike of the previous mix.
Side One Mother '6' & Stamper 'RLM', being '284'. Side Two Mother '6' & Stamper 'RLD', being '280'. This is quite rare to find an LP with the such similar numbering on both sides, as there were many Mothers (master dyes) and even more Stampers (stainless steel plated on copper, which literally wore out) and often, with the latter especially, they would be vastly different in numbering.
Bang on 1966, this has the KT Purchase Tax code, around the spindle, firmly dating its press.
It has the original plain white Patents Applied for inner sleeve, which is fully intact and gently aged in colour.
