Description
Selected titles from the private collection of a music business veteran are now being made available for the first time. Titles offered by this Seller are one-owner and came directly from the pressing plant, record company warehouse, other label reps or record store unless otherwise noted.
Grading is based on visual inspection.
Album ships in a 2 MIL poly cover sleeve and a poly inner sleeve.
I package records outside the cover to avoid seam splits.
- The seller was very emphatic about how influential this album was in the transition and blending of the folk and rock scene in 1967-68 that led to Havens' appearance at Woodstock in 1969. Seller said he sold massive quantities of this from in-store play and word of mouth. Havens was an under-the-radar performer who definitely made a difference.
- Richie havens passed on in 2013.
- With that I present you with a Mint Condition copy of this folk classic.
- This copy may be a First Edition of the stereo version but I can't tell from the matrix.
- It is on thick vinyl on the original Verve Forecast label.
- This copy has never been played.
- The paper on board cover has tight seams and shows some very slight shelf wear.
- The solid white paper inner sleeve is slightly faded. I have included a soft plastic inner sleeve.
- Seller says this was his second or third copy he got in 1969 and it has been in storage for 46 years.
