Description
Johann Sebastian Bach: Passio Secundum Matthaeum – St. Matthew Passion

German DGG Archiv stereo-pressing with silver „Alle Hersteller“- labels. Article-No SAPM 198 009/12.
4-LP-Box with booklet and archive-card. No date imprinted on box or booklet.
Very early pressing with additional red stereo-sticker on front.
Full clothbound box with title on spine printed downside up, no "Stereo" on front and lid closes on a "lip" on front.
All signs for a very early pressing, although actual 1st editions to my knowledge still had stitched innersleeves,
so this is probably from the 2nd batch.
Late 1959 seems likely, maybe early 1960.
Side one is paired with side eight, two with seven, three with six and four with five.

Condition Box: NM . Massive rough linen cardboard-box with hardly any detectable wear. Pristine condition!

Condition Vinyl: Strong EX to NM . Played a couple of times, surfaces are virtually flawlessly preserved.

Condition Booklet: NM. As new. Archive-card has never been folded.

- Most LPs receive new antistatic innersleeves (in addition to the original ones, which of course are also provided). I, however, don't add new sleeves, if the original ones seem fitting.

A note about my record-grading:
I usually only visually grade the LPs under strong light and I only playgrade them ( i.e. the portions that seem to have signs of usage), if I can't be sure of their actual condition.
If records show stronger signs of soiling I'll professionally clean them (Okki Nokki RCM), but I'm not doing this if it's obviously only dust, as I know that collectors usually prefer their
very own way of record-cleaning.
My goal is to always decribe the records appropriately and I will name every visible and/or audible defect in my detailed description. If regardless of my precautions
you should ever be dissatisfied with the condition of a record, please contact me before leaving negative or neutral feedback to give me the chance to resolve your query.
I'm confident, however, that this will hardly ever be the case. I've been selling records for many years now and so far complaints fortunately have been the utter exception!
