Just in case the big band sounds familiar, the last time you heard it it was swinging
behind me on "Mack the Knife"... and I haven't felt as good in front of a band since.

following. If you don't, then believe me, any record you ever hear is only as good as

(many folks write me after the auctions about how they got outbid in the last minute, so get your best bid out there, the last minute is the hottest bidding, and I know that some of these titles will bring some inexperienced Ebay bidders out of the woodwork... best of luck!)

So why are promotional, advance and test pressings better?

   Well, in the case of sound quality, they were most often pressed on virgin vinyl, and in limited batches. The presses used to make records become corrupted with small flecks of vinyl after many pressings, and the smaller the batch, the less of these contaminants there are to make the random ticks and pops you sometimes hear even on a brand new record. There is also the collectibility of these records, and the relatively low numbers of these made in comparison to commercial pressings.
