Description
RECO IN REGGAE LAND
1969 PAMA ECO14
Side 1: Tribute to Don Drummonds / Anancy Rumba / Rainbow Into the Rio Mino / Sweet Chariot / Tom Jones / Scare Face
Side 2: Trombone Man / Japanese Invasion / Top of the class / Black Milk / Stranger on the Shore / Place in the Sun
Extremely rare, original '69 LP from Reco (Rico) Rodriguez.
- The vinyl shows few signs of having been played, with no visually obvious flaws on side 1, and with 2 very light hairlines on side 2 (these are not scratches, just marks consistent with the vinyl being moved in and out of the sleeve)
- There is some very light scuffing at the run-in groove at about '10' and '11 o'clock' on side 2. Overall, I would grade conservatively and suggest that the vinyl is in EX- condition (VG+ if you're American)
Please note: The vinyl surface has been visually graded only. I no longer have access to a record player, so I am unable to confirm that the record plays without surface noise, pops, clicks etc.
- The labels on both sides are clean, clear and bright, with a barely noticeable spindle track mark on each side
- The centre hole is free from any spindle wear
- The Garrod and Lofthouse sleeve is in EX- condition with no seam splits or tears whatsoever
- The spine is still strong and fully intact, with absolutely no creasing or splitting
- All relevant printing/writing is clear and free from scuffs or splits
- The face side has some very slight lifting of the laminate in a couple of places at the top and bottom edges, along with some very superficial, barely noticeable creasing around the same places
- The flipbacks on the reverse side are clean and fully intact, with a bare minimum of noticeable ageing or storage marks, and - as you should be able to see from the picture collage - the rest of the reverse side of the sleeve is still clean and clear, again with a bare minimum of noticeable ageing or storage marks.
Please note: To give you further peace of mind, prior to any bid you may wish to make, if you require better quality close-ups of this superb record, or any information relating to my grading, please send me a message and I will be more than happy to give you the information you require.
The record, when sold, will be packed in a top-quality LP mailer with stiffeners for added protection; The vinyl will be packed outside of the outer sleeve to prevent seam splits whilst in transit. Postage and packing will be £3.00 for the UK (if you require further postal insurances beyond what I am offering, please let me know before the end of the auction). Any bidders from outside of the UK should e-mail before the end of the auction for postal rates to their country.
If it is deemed that the quality of the record falls significantly below that which is described in the listing, I will be happy to refund the purchase price of the item (I will not refund any relevant post & packing charges).
Thanks for looking and happy bidding!
