Ride: Today Forever EP (1991 Creation Records)
As a big fan of Ride from the start I bought this on its release back in 1991. This EP has been very well looked after as part of my personal record collection over the last 32 years and is still in lovely condition today.
The original textured sleeve is in excellent condition with only very some minor discolouration where a price sticker once was on the top right on the front and some very faint age related foxing on the back of the cover. There is also a little on the inside too which I didn’t notice on first inspection. I’ve tried to photograph this although it is not actually visible anyway unless you actually look into the sleeve. I’ve taken a lot of photos as I am fully transparent with my descriptions so please take the time to scroll through all of them to view the lovely condition and any of the highlighted imperfections. The spine is still nice and sharp and in tact and fully readable (see pictures) and the sleeve has no seam splits. It comes with the original generic black poly lined inner sleeve that has protected the vinyl from paper withdrawal scratches over the years and kept it in great condition.
The vinyl is in lovely condition too with the dead wax etched, ‘Porky Prime Cut’ which signifies this was cut by the legendary mastering engineer, George Peckham. When held under a powerful bright LED light I can detect a few superficial surface marks here and there, but absolutely nothing here impacts the play. I have cleaned both sides in my professional vacuum record cleaning machine with the award winning L'Art Du Son fluid so it’s now free from any dust and static and in the best possible condition ready for the new owner to enjoy. I also just test played it all the way through on both sides twice on my Project Debut Carbon turntable fitted with Ortefon 2M Blue stylus. The vinyl sits perfectly flat on the deck and plays through beautifully with barely a hint of surface noise on the run ins and absolutely no skipping, sticking or jumping. Sounds awesome still and in lovely condition for a 30 odd year old record. I’ve priced t too but it now as the cheapest on eBay after a quick search of the current listed prices and I would imagine this is one of the best condition too so grab a bargain before someone else does.
I will post to the buyer packaged well and insured so that no damage will come to it in transit
