The LP is the original 1974 UK stereo LP, which was only played occasionally on top-end audiophile equipment and lovingly cared for.

Goodnight Vienna is the fourth album by Ringo Starr. It was recorded in the summer of 1974 in Los Angeles, and released later that year. Goodnight Vienna followed the commercially successful predecessor Ringo, and Starr used many of the same players, including Billy Preston, Klaus Voormann, Robbie Robertson, Harry Nilsson, and producer Richard Perry. The title comes from an English slang phrase meaning roughly, "It's all over".
While all three other Beatles had contributed to Ringo, only John Lennon contributed to Goodnight Vienna. Besides writing and playing piano on the title track, Lennon also suggested Starr cover The Platters' hit "Only You (And You Alone)" and sang a guide vocal for Starr to follow. The demo of "Goodnight Vienna" was recorded by Lennon during sessions for his Walls and Bridges album. Lennon's versions of "Goodnight Vienna" and "Only You" appear on the 1998 box set John Lennon Anthology. Elton John also contributed a track.

Goodnight Vienna was very much a follow-up to Ringo, on which Ringo Starr called upon his bevy of musical buddies. Most prominent among them was John Lennon, who again wrote the leadoff track, "(It's All Da-Da-Down To) Goodnight Vienna," and played on three songs; also included are Elton John, who wrote and played on "Snookeroo," Dr. John, Billy Preston, Robbie Robertson, and Harry Nilsson. Richard Perry again produced, bringing his strong pop sensibility to the diverse material. The only real fall-off was in the songwriting; the album's Top Ten hits were "Only You," the old Platters song, and Hoyt Axton's novelty number "No No Song," which winked at intoxicants, but little else on the set stood out. Goodnight Vienna was another enjoyable Ringo record, but it lacked the star power and consistency of its predecessor. Still, compared to the rest of his '70s albums, it was a masterpiece.

A fantastic time warp example of this rarity in amazing condition, a true investment grade item - get it while you can!
