RINGO STARR: ‘POSTCARDS FROM THE BOYS’ – THIS IS A GENUINE OPPORTUNITY TO PURCHASE A VERY SPECIAL, NUMBERED, LIMITED EDITION, **1st ISSUE** UK GENESIS HARD BACK BOOK – **PERSONALLY AUTOGRAPHED BY RINGO STARR**, STILL RETAINED IN ITS ORIGINAL MAILING CARTON TO BE AUCTIONED TOGETHER WITH A NON SIGNED REGULAR HIGH STREET EDITION OF ‘POSTCARDS FROM THE BOYS’!!
Personally Autographed in Pen by Ringo Starr and Numbered **1740**/2,500 (see scan 6), this REMARKABLE Hard Back Book features the reproduction of 53 postcards which were sent to Ringo Starr by the other three BEATLES in the 60’s - George Harrison, John Lennon and Paul McCartney!
This SUPERB Volume contains PRECISE reproductions of postcards sent to Ringo by John, Paul and George in such ACCURATE detail, complete with the occasional drawing, depicting both the spontaneous wit and art of THE BEATLES (see scans 7,8,9 and 10). The messages from the other three Beatles show the unique bond in existence between the members of the Fab Four. The reproduction of the postcards is supplemented with a revealing and humorous text from Ringo explaining the meaning behind the cards and documenting the corresponding moments of his life.
There is more handwork involved in the craft bookbinding of Postcards From The Boys than with any previous Genesis title. BOTH SIDES of each postcard are carefully pasted into this Fine Limited Edition Volume to the extent that there are 108 individual pieces of paper pasted into the book! – JUST STUNNING…. The text is printed in silver onto heavyweight black paper to create a true postcard album.
The binding of this significant volume is in light brown Nubuk and the Volume is protected in a De-Luxe Red ALUMINIUM faced UK POST BOX style Solander Box (scans 1 & 2). Also included with this SIGNIFICANT Volume is a page of stamps and three postcards housed in a black envelope which have been specially made to accompany the book (scan 5). In addition, this Special book is still retained in its original White Card MAILING CARTON! (scan 1) .
As an additional bonus we will include a Regular (non signed) UK High Street Edition of ‘Postcards From the Boys’ which was sold on general release here in the UK (see scan 4 which displays the regular issue to the right hand side of the scan). This will enable the winning bidder to PRESERVE the Signed Version and read and view from the regular edition!
Now turning to the grading - The Signed Volume and the Protective Post Box Style Box are, of course, in totally **mint and unread** condition – PERFECT in every way! The regular non-signed book is also in PERFECT **mint and unread** condition.
