This is a Road Ready Flightcase for storing approximately 150 7" 45RPM records. I suppose everyone over the age of 30 will know what those are, if you are younger I suggest you go back to listening Skrillex (and then preferably kill yourself). I bought it brand new almost 5 years ago from the Road Ready UK distributor for £85 and I have never opened the box it is in let alone used it!!! I didn't need to as I bought 2 of them at the same time and that is why I am able to show you photo's of what it looks like out the box. The case in the photos is my own that I am keeping so any scuffs and marks etc. you can ignore as the case you are bidding on is the one in the cardboard box in the first photo. Hopefully you will see it is still taped up and still has the heavy duty brass packaging staples. Because the box has never been opened I can only assume it is in pristine condition and if it has any superficial marks these must've been gained during manufacture. There is a slight knack to closing the box; the records need to be sat slightly diagonally in the box to enable the lid to close but once closed you just need to shake the box slightly to straighten them out.
Road Ready are a respected brand and it is reassuring that the case, even when empty, feels quite heavy and screams sturdiness. In actual fact this case had ceased production even when I bought it and they only had less than a dozen left so it is quite rare now; I assume Road Ready were dipping their toe in this market. Shame they didn't do a double lane one :( Trying to get a decent 45's case is a bit of a nightmare; I bought a Swanshite Flightcase just before I got this and I know they've been around for donkey's but I was really underwhelmed by it's construction and the flimsiness of the lane divider so I sent it back. This case is surrounded by a tough wearable 9mm foam (Swanshite is 3mm crappy packaging foam stuff that barely does the job) and an eggshell foam in the lid. I think you'd look like you mean business turning up to a gig with this in your hand!
Internal width 188mm approx. Internal length 580mm approx. Internal height 173mm - 200mm approx.
Make sure your 45 sleeves fit before bidding as sizes can vary a bit and I will not offer a return if they don't fit!
