Description
Awesome 1961 and increasingly rare jazz album featuring the great Don Rendell (tenor sax) along with Graham Bond (alto sax), John Burch (piano), Tony Archer (bass) and Phil Kinorra (drums).
The stunning interplay between tenor and alto sax is mind-boggling, and the whole unit is razor sharp and drum tight in an irresistible post bop groove.
The front laminated flipback sleeve has been taped to all four edges and this has helped it survive over 60 years in solid shape – it grades VG+.
The vinyl has a few scuffs (the worst one is pictured) and hairlines but plays well with a little surface noise at times, and some tics delivered briefly by the scuff. It's a warm and enjoyable listen and grades VG to VG+.
The black and silver Jazzland labels are in fine shape and grade excellent.
Plain white paper inner sleeve is VG.
Cracking album – usually sells for £100+.
