Description

Strong Persuader is the breakthrough album by blues guitarist and singer Robert Cray, released in 1986 on Mercury Records. This 12-inch vinyl LP features iconic tracks like "Smoking Gun" and "Right Next Door (Because of Me)," which helped redefine modern blues with a soulful, contemporary sound. The album combines Cray's smooth vocal style and precise guitar work with a full band arrangement, including keyboards, bass, and horns.

This pressing is an original 1986 release by Mercury Records, pressed in the USA and presented in a cardboard sleeve. The vinyl spins at 33 RPM and includes the full tracklist on both sides, capturing the essence of Cray's influential style. The record is notable for its crisp production by Bruce Bromberg and Dennis Walker, and the album artwork features a striking photo of Robert Cray with his guitar. A must-have for collectors and fans of blues rock and contemporary blues music.
