Well here it is, THE Delta Blues encapsulated in 16 tracks...43 minutes 26 seconds... Robert Johnson "the King of the Delta Blues Singers" Original Pressing on Columbia CL 1654. A landmark release in its earliest LP incarnation on the Columbia 6 EYE label. MONO. PLAY GRADE: NM Some minor crackle here and there, does not detract from the listening experience in anyway. Probably from the master sources in most spots. What could overpower Robert Johnson anyway? Maybe a skip - but none of that here...a simply beautiful copy of this 47 year old LP. Looks MINT three marks total visible under light that do not sound. Was maybe played a handful of times very carefully. Retains an as new luster! COVER: NM nice and shiny - artwork looks great! corners are sharp, no seam splits. Spine is straight and legible. Minor storage rubbing to bottom seam, some white shows through cover slick... not effecting front cover. Back cover has 8 small pen marks next to a couple tracks and at bottom. "Previously unissued prev. unreleased master" is written very small on bottom. Upper right has pencil writing 10-61 very faintly. LABELS: NM bright vibrant colors...some white showing around spindle hole. The inner sleeve is clear...I believe this may be a record club edition. Reserve price modestly reflects recent auctions/popsike.com Some days it seems this may be the only LP you really need....
