Description
Radio shows were first syndicated on reel to reel tape, later on LP stereo discs, then CD's and now digitally. Collectors can no longer get their hands on this quality material so the surviving shows that are available will keep going up and up in value. These radio shows were never intended for public use & most were destroyed or returned to the manufacturer after use, so they're very difficult to find.
Rare 1/2 Hour/1 LP U2 Radio Show!
Air date: 9/10/87 - 12/11/87. This is a very rare U2 radio special broadcast on rock radio stations as the U2 "Joshua Tree" tour passed through their market. It features interview segments with Bono, Adam, Edge and Larry along with some great live tracks from the band including a great cover of The Beatles' "Help". It was produced by DIR Broadcasting, the same people who produced the King Biscuit Flower Hour series. D.I.R. recorded the concerts with the same state-of-the-art mobile trucks that produced many of the great live albums of the 70’s and 80’s.
