Description

Rockpile Seconds Of Pleasure 1980 1st Press EX/VG+.

For auction is an excellent listeners copy of Seconds Of Pleasure by British rock band, Rockpile. Consisting of Dave Edmunds (vocals, guitar, keyboard), Nick Lowe (bass, vocals), Billy Bremner (guitar, vocals) and Terry Williams (drums), they are considered to be a major influence on the new wave rock sub-genre. Although Rockpile had been together since 1976, this album was their first and only LP released with the band name in October 1980. They had only performed previously on albums that were credited to either Edmunds and Lowe. Rockpile disbanded in 1981. Seconds Of Pleasure peaked at #27 on the Billboard 200 in the US and the single, “Teacher, Teacher”, reached #51 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1981. This copy is a 1st press.

Vinyl is play graded EX. Obvious storage warp that is purely superficial and does not affect playback. Several light visible surface marks but nothing deep that can be felt. Plays with faint background noise if any. No skips or jumps. Please see pics.

Gatefold cover is in VG+ condition. Minor shelf wear on corners and seams but no splits. Title is perfectly legible. Slight wear along both edges on open side. Extremely light ring wear on both sides. Please see pics.

Good luck bidding and thank you for looking!!
