A superb 2014 limited-edition double picture-disc pressing of Roger Taylor – Fun On Earth, issued for Record Store Day on Virgin EMI.
This is the particularly attractive 2LP picture-disc edition, with Roger Taylor’s portrait artwork spread across the records. It was issued specifically for Record Store Day and differs from the later standard black-vinyl edition.
Originally released in 2013, Fun On Earth was Taylor’s fifth solo studio album and features a broad mix of rock, reflective songwriting and the unmistakable vocal and drumming style associated with his work in Queen.
The vinyl edition also expands on the standard album by including Dear Mr Murdoch and Whole House Rockin’, giving this release a 15-track configuration.
Highlights include Sunny Day, I Am The Drummer (In A Rock ’n’ Roll Band), The Unblinking Eye, Be With Youand Say It’s Not True, the latter featuring Jeff Beck.

The artwork and presentation remain clean and sharp, with virtually no meaningful wear.

Both picture discs present beautifully with exceptionally clean surfaces and only the faintest signs of previous handling or play.
The striking picture-disc artwork remains bright and attractive across both records.
Overall, a very strong example sitting comfortably above EX and just short of Near Mint.
