For the Pink Floyd and alumnae collector, I present the following rarity from my vaults. This is one of Roger Waters’ 1987 singles from his second solo album, Radio Kaos: WHO NEEDS INFORMATION/MOLLY’S SONG.

 

This B Side is especially notable as a live version of Molly’s Song, which didn’t appear on the album and as far as I know, is only available on this single… performed by The Bleeding Hearts Band:

  • Roger Waters - vocals, bass guitar and acoustic guitar.
  • Andy Fairweather-Low - Guitar, bass guitar and backing vocals.
  • Jay Stapley - Lead guitar and backing vocals.
  • Paul Carrack - keyboards and vocals.
  • Graham Broad - drums and percussion.
  • Mel Collins - Saxophone.
  • Doreen Chanter - Backing vocals.
  • Katie Kissoon - Backing vocals.

This Canadian pressing comes in the orange CBS sleeve and the record was played perhaps once. I’d grade it a very solid ‘excellent’ on both vinyl and sleeve. It is on the Columbia label 38-07617 and is a great addition to any Floyd/Waters collection.
