Description
The first ever 45 from Roky Erikson post-Elevators (from 1975) - original unplayed stock copy.
I have been collecting LPs/45s since 1980. I grade very conservatively. If you are unhappy with how a 45 is graded please return it for a refund. Please check my seller feedback for verification.
I don't use the grade EX, if it's not M-, it's VG++.
Gradings:
Sleeve Grades: VG++ (just a generic sleeve).
Labels: VG++ overall, no evidence it has been played. Please see the last image for some slight bubbling of the label (the pasted on label has bubbled a little from the glue used in manufacture).
Vinyl Grades: VG++, very close to M- visually.
I have play graded the 45 and it plays with occasional crackle and occasional light background noise as would be expected from a small pressing 45 of the era (1975). See notes on the music below (as this is not a 'hi-fi' recording).
Postage and packing:
Please click the Postage tab, select your Country and click Get Rates. I post worldwide.
If applicable, I separate the LP/45 from the sleeve (to avoid any seam damage).
I use a sturdy custom mailer.
Music:
This is NOT a great recording (technically).
That's really beside the point as it IS a lo-fi, rough and ready recording of two absolute killer tracks (Roky's very first 45 post-Elevators from 1975).
A masterpiece of psychedelic rock and a different recording from the 'Two headed dog' on the Sponge EP (and other subsequent LPs).
'Starry Eyes' is a great B-side displaying another side of Roky Erickson's genius.
