Another terrific minor key, militant ska track. On this early 70s reissue the label is reversed, the flip side which is blank, is actually "Scambalena" and the label side is actually Magic Star - a bit confusing, but that's standard with Studio One. The B side was also known as Ska Ba Lena and I think Magic Star was originally credited to the Skatalites on the first issue. Although this is a reissue, both sides were made from the original stamper. Graded VG+, in spite of the writing on the label it's a nice playing copy. Let me know if you have a problem playing the audio sample, I can email you the soundfiles.
Although I don't list records often on ebay, I've been collecting, selling and trading Jamaican records on and off since 1985. The records in this auction were mostly purchased from shops and sound systems in Jamaica from 1985-1993 & all are original Jamaican pressings unless otherwise noted. All of the discs have been thoroughly cleaned with an ultra-sound machine, this allows every molecule of baked-on Jamaican dust and dirt to be dug out of the grooves without damaging the vinyl. This means that both new-old-stock and used records generally sound much better than they would otherwise. Check my other auctions, I am auctioning a bunch of killer/rare ska sides this week, and will be listing more ska and rocksteady in the near future.
Check my overwhelmingly positive ebay feedback and be confident that this item is honestly represented. I reserve the right to cancel any bids that seem suspicious, or from users with no feedback or recent negative feedback. Please do not bid if you don't plan to buy. I am happy to ship worldwide, rates will vary by location and weight. I will combine shipping for multiple items. PLEASE IGNORE THE EBAY POSTAGE CALCULATOR which is showing very high rates for overseas shipping. It should cost no more than $10-12 to ship one record to most parts of the world.
