The Rolling Stones “Aftermath” Original 1966 Press UK MONO LP and Original Inner Sleeve. 1966 Decca Records LK 4786. Made in the United Kingdom.

1966 UK Mono pressing of this landmark album which was the first one comprised entirely of original material.

LP JACKET:

This is quite honestly the most beautifully preserved copy of this fragile LP Jacket I have ever seen. Such a wonder to behold. No need to upgrade after this. As near to “As new, freshly packaged back in 1966” as you are ever likely to find. A true show stopper.

No seam-splits, rips, stains, handwriting. The laminate has a gorgeous, glass-like sheen and is fully adhered to the front of the cover. The deep black and pink-purple color palette of this really pop and shine. Sharp, crisp corners. No significant creasing to note except for a few extremely small laminate creases around the upper-left spine edge which only become visible if you tilt the cover at an angle against direct sunlight and scrutinize it very closely. Otherwise they are not really noticeable (see pics. These are extremely minor).

The spine is straight with clearly legible text. When inspecting very closely, there is a tiny fray on the “O” of the “The Rolling Stones” text (see pic, it is very minor). No issues other than that.

The back portion of the LP jacket has miraculously escaped the ravages of time and remains bright white with no writing, stains or other marks. Quite simply the best you will ever find. Just stunning.

VINYL: has a deep, rich, shiny, mirror-like sheen. Beautifully preserved. If you were to tilt the vinyl at an angle against a strong light source, some very faint and small blemishes, some small portions of haziness, and wispy line marks become faintly visible. These marks are more difficult to discern under normal room light, however. Please see the collage pictures of the vinyl surface and grooved labels taken in both normal room light and tilted at an angle against sunlight.

The original inner sleeve has no rips, stains, or seam-splits. Usually you see these fragile inner sleeves in terrible condition or missing entirely. This one, however, is beautifully preserved. (See pics).
