Description

Hard to find mono LP that includes the scarce poster.  The cover has a textured feel to it indicating a second pressing cover - first pressings have a slick, glossy cover.  The rare "full color" poster is included and in nice shape. 

I played the record through twice - it sounds great but there are a couple of flaws.  There are  3 ticks before the vocals start at the beginning of "Route 66."  The first time I played the record there were a couple of ticks on the instrumental track, "Now I've Got A Witness" but after I cleaned the record I didn't hear the ticks.  Even when the ticks were there (before cleaning) they were not on the guitar solo (which is absolutely smoking!)  The vocals on "Can I Get A Witness" are incredible - raw and soulful.  There is some background noise that can be heard between songs but the background noise is minimal when the record is playing.  The "presence" of the sound is super on this mono pressing - it's as if the band is playing right in front of you.  Because of the flaws mentioned I would grade this record VG overall.  

The maroon, mono labels are in excellent condition with no writing or tears and just a tiny amount of spindle wear. 

The cover has no seam splits and a solid spine.  You should get a good idea of the condition by looking at the photos.  It would be hard to find a nicer copy.  There is no writing on the cover and you can read all the words on the spine.  There is about 1/2 inch of fraying in the middle of the top seam and the bottom corners are very slightly "bumped."  Overall, this is a strong cover in VG++ condition. 

The poster has that "textured" feel just like the cover.  If you turn the poster over you will see a couple of creases on the corners but they are outside the band photo, in the very dark black background so the light creases do not show through on the front of the poster.
