Description

An original 1st press from 1972 on Uk RS label. Artisan stamped solid vinyl. Matrix 2/1/1/1 - super dooper early. The vinyl comes housed in an original Shorewood box cover. Both square cornered inners are present. AND both original ,72 original paper inners. But even better....we have the original 12 postcards. All present. All still attached!!.. 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In lovely condition and has only seen lightest use. Super lustre. Under close inspection I could only make a couple of very slight marks per side, and one superficial trail - nothing remotely troublesome. Fully tested at mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Clean intros and inbetweens super clarity. You're not far from those original masters in reality - some great audio. Excellent energy, but some finesse in those quieter moments. And boy these Artisan cuts do sound fantastic on a well cared for copy. Clean slow builds....excellent clarity into the mix. Shine A Light can exhibit groove-wear....not here. it is a perfect player. Ventilator Blues often exhibits light background...not here. Literally perfect clean background - which means the ambiance is ll very much still apparent and low level detail. Witness some of the best Stones work on record. I mean it is literally acing it from the audio perspective. Outlandishly good. OMG - the audio is to die for...if you haven't got the UK Artisan original on near-master and Ex+...I think you really need to hear it!
Cover (Vg+) Nice and clean front and is exhibiting some ageing - but looking tidy and unworn [much better specimen than you usually find]. Surfaces are pretty unworn. Sight edge wear in places but not bad at all. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity and retains box shape well. That opening panel is rock solid! Wowzer!
Inners (Ex) Very tidy no splits. 2 X Bespoke + 2 X Generic paper.
Postcards (Ex+) highly unusual ...superb.
